• The Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of Bologna receives Visiting Professors (senior fellowships) for a period of from one to three months;
• Senior-Visiting Professors are generally successful scholars in their sabbatical year and are admitted after invitation from a member of the University of Bologna;
• Visiting professors are generally offered free accommodation in a mini-apartment and a study space at the Residenza di Studi Superiori in addition to a lump-sum contribution for travel expenses (for UE citizens = Euro 800,00; for extra UE citizens = Euro 1.100,00);
• Possible coverage of board and research expenses may be assigned in special cases, depending on funds available from the University and other Institutions

Art. 1 – All Professors and researchers of the University of Bologna are invited to present to the Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of Bologna proposals for visiting professors (senior fellowships), for periods of from one to three months in the period January – June 2013, by filling the dedicated application form (see the attachment on the right) and sending it together with the following documents:
• Candidature letter of the applicant for a visiting professorship invited to carry out a research activity at a specified Department or Research Center of the University of Bologna (the letter should be addressed to both Director of the hosting Department and Prof. Paolo Pombeni, Director of the Institute of Advanced Studies);
• detailed curriculum vitae of the invited applicant, with a complete list of publications
Art. 2 – The certified integration of the aspirant visiting professor in research activities at a Department or Research Center of the University of Bologna, and the curriculum vitae will be documents evaluated by the members of the Institute of Advanced Studies Board.
The best eight applications will be admitted. The results of the selection will be communicated also by e-mail to inviting Professors and researchers before July 20 2012.
