The ISA Medal for Science is the highest honour awarded by the Institute of Advanced Studies.
The ISA Medal for Science is the highest honour awarded by the Institute of Advanced Studies of the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna in recognition of research contributions characterized by both excellence and influence.
Proposals for the ISA Medal may be submitted, anytime during the year, by a group of scholars and scientists of the University of Bologna. The Institute will confer annually two medals to individuals or groups by reason of their outstanding contributions to knowledge in science and technology as well as in human, social and behavioural sciences.
Nominees for the Award are selected by the Board of Resident Fellows of the Institute of Advanced Studies.
Proposals should be sent by email to the Director of the Institute (direzione.isa@unibo.it) and should include:
- a letter specifying the motivations of the proposal
- the detailed curriculum vitae and studiorum of the individual or group
- the list of signatures of scholars and scientists (specifying the department and the discipline) endorsing the proposal.
