Visiting Post Doc Researchers (Early Stage Research Fellows)

The Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of Bologna appoints Visiting Researchers (Early Stage Research Fellows) for a period of 12 months.

Research Fellows are normally scientists/scholars holding a Ph.D. degree from an established academic institution and wishing to carry out postdoctoral research at a research centre of the University of Bologna.

Research Fellowships are assigned through a competition whose announcement is advertised from time to time on the section Proposals.

Applications will not be accepted outside of the periods of the competitions.

In occasion of announcement, in order to apply it's necessary to completely fill up the application form and to present the following documents:

  • a curriculum vitae
  • a list of publications
  • at least one letter of reference from a senior scientist acquainted with the candidate's curriculum vitae
  • a letter of invitation and reference written by the candidate's proposed research project supervisor at the University of Bologna.

Research Fellows are normally provided with accommodation in an apartment at the Residenza di Studi Superiori. Research Fellowships are stipendiary. Each Fellowship includes free accommodation and a monthly grant whose amount is determined yearly by the Board of Resident Fellows according to budget funds made available by the University or other institutions.
